The Star Wars Holiday Special is most popular known as the first appearance
of Boba Fett. Fett marked his entry into the Star Wars trilogy in 1980
with the Empire Strikes Back, but two years before that he was in the Holiday
Special. While in the special edition of A New Hope, Boba Fett was
added into the Jabba the Hutt scene, his official first appearance was in
the 11-minute cartoon that aired in the middle of the Star Wars Holiday
Special.
