Details In 1984 to celebrate Donald Duck's 50th birthday, Disney presented 'Donald Duck's 50th Birthday Bash' on CBS. The one-hour special was hosted by Dick van Dyke, and showed Donald's most memorable cartoons. Besides that, it also featured some guest appearances, such as R2-D2 and C-3PO, and Cloris Leachman, John Ritter, Henry Winkler, Ed Asner, Bruce Jenner, Donna Summers, and Kenny Rogers. R2-D2 and C-3PO provided the tribute to Donald Duck's voice, Mr. 'Ducky' Nash, on a starry location. Both droids stood still the entire act, except for C-3PO's arm which kept moving around. Besides cartoons, shots from the Disneyland parade celebrating his anniversary were shown too. It also shows Donald getting officially discharged from World War II.
